Jessica Bourke- Natural Fertility Specialist

BcL, Dip Ac. C.Clinical Med. C.Shanghai, Dip.NT, mNTOI

With eighteen years of experience in the field of reproductive health, Jessica has gained a reputation for helping women to successfully conceive where everything else has failed.

Jessica provides a unique, individualised service that is founded on her in-depth knowledge of all aspects of male and female fertility. Based on the latest scientific research, she uses a combination of acupuncture and nutritional protocols alongside functional lab testing to ensure her clients have the greatest chance of conception and welcoming a healthy baby into the world.

Jessica completed her acupuncture and clinical medicine training at the Lansdowne College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, followed by post-graduate study at the 6th Peoples Hospital, Shanghai.

Having always had an interest in gynaecology and obstetrics, Jessica was quick to specialise in this area when she opened her private reproductive health practice in 2005.

Witnessing the benefits of a combined approach to health care, Jessica completed her training in Nutritional Therapy with IINH, qualifying in 2007. She received a Distinction for her dissertation, which focused on the beneficial effects of anti-oxidants in the treatment of male factor infertility.

In 2009 she trained as one of the founder members of the Zita West Affiliate scheme, a network of reproductive health specialists serving the UK & Ireland. Given her unique skill-set as both a fully qualified Acupuncturist and Nutritional Therapist, she is able to address symptoms relating to all aspects of fertility, while also offering natural, non-invasive support throughout pregnancy and the post-natal period.

Jessica works closely with consultants to provide the best quality care for her patients and firmly believes that an integrated, evidence-based approach is key to their success. Functional lab testing alongside sound, scientific evaluation, forms the cornerstone of her approach to reproductive health issues.

A background in Law, provided Jessica with the research skills necessary to effectively peruse all the latest research relating to fertility and pregnancy. She regularly attends webinars and lectures to ensure continuing professional development.

Jessica's first book, the 'Guilt Free Gourmet' was released in September 2012. It was co-authored with her brother Jordan Bourke, a Ballymaloe trained chef and food stylist working in London. The book was written in response to client demand for recipes that were very healthy but that also tasted amazing. The Guilt Free Gourmet focuses on recipes that are free of sugar, wheat and dairy and includes innovative alternative ingredients for making recipes that are utterly indulgent, yet still good for you.

The recent surge in chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and infertility has led to increased public awareness of the importance of nutrition and the crucial role it has to play in our overall health. As a mother of two, Jessica is extremely passionate about educating women on how to improve their children's health so they may avoid illness and fully realize their potential.

Whether you are planning to undergo ART procedures such as IUI/IVF/ICSI, would like to aim for a natural conception, or are already pregnant, Jessica will diligently work through every aspect of your case to help you identify the underlying cause of your health complaints and address your symptoms in an effective, yet natural manner.
